Blush… A Wedding Day Look
Yesterday afternoon I was inspired by this gorgeous Claire La Faye original gown titled, “I Do“. I thought perhaps I might put together a complete wedding day ensemble centered around its whimsical beauty. I sought to compile pieces of all price points, in order to show that it doesn’t always take a large budget to create a fantastic look.
This may become a regular feature due to the amount of fun I had compiling this piece. Enjoy!

Clockwise from top left: J. Furmani Designer Vintage Beaded Evening Bag, $70; Anthropologie Following Blush Necklace, $32; Claire La Faye “I Do” Gown, $785; Twigs & Honey Original Bridal Mini Hat, $185-$325; Forever 21 Dawn Bangle Set, $6.50; Badgley Mischka Randee, $179.99
Sarah, James & A Dream…
May 9th, 2010
The wedding of Sarah & James will be held this weekend in Washington, DC. In honor of this special occasion, we thought it would be appropriate to at last share with you the story of their engagement session. It has received glowing reviews on The Bride’s Cafe and from everyone else who has stumbled upon it, but we have held off sharing it here until today.
Adam had a dream for many months to take the perfect couple and place them in this fantastical setting.

Then he met Sarah…

and James…

… a couple full of life and passion, brimming with joy and creativity. He knew he had met his match.
To warm up before the “dream scene” they spent time with each other adjusting to the oddity of having a camera in their faces.

Obviously, they had no difficulty.
Remember, they are being wed in Washington, DC. They brought these precious maps along as props. How fun.

After a wardrobe change and a short drive, the magic began.
I hope you enjoy watching this dream come to life. It brings me much delight to watch my husband bring about such beauty; hopefully, after viewing these stunning images you will feel the same.

Our very own Kristin… (Part Two)
June 23, 2010
As promised, here is Part Two of Kristin’s maternity shoot.
I do believe I am in love with these images. It could be because this such a treasured and brief time. Or perhaps it is because of the eager anticipation in their eyes. Maybe it is simply due to to the tiny thoughtful details Kristin personally brought to the shoot; quilts and frames, toy baskets and tea cups…
These two are dear friends, and we are honored to have been a part of this precious time in their lives. The studio can not begin to express our thankfulness for all that Kristin has been and continues to be.
Little Violet, you are quite loved. We so look forward to meeting you.
